Good morning and welcome back. Sorry, I have been a little lax on posting. I have been trying to prepare for an upcoming show - unsuccessfully for the most part, life keeps getting in the way. Also, I hate mass producing cards but a necessary evil to do shows. I do have a few new things for you, the in-house photographer shall picture them up for us tonight and we will commence sharing tomorrow. One I really like, we took the box from the "Haiku Box set" (see affordable classes - to the right), and turned that into a cute holiday set. I will put that picture up for you tomorrow. I designed this for one of our club meetings last week and the gals loved it.
By now, you have noticed I added music to my blog. The first song that plays, is not the first song I wanted, if you don't like it, just pop down to the bottom right, and click on a song you do like, my new "play list" will then play it for you. If you don't like any of them, turn off your volume, and enjoy the pictures.
AND, don't forget to sign up to receive the newsletter. I'm adding some new stuff, this month, "tip of the month" and "project of the month", this month, is a very cool folding card. I put my newsletter out at the beginning of the month so you have a week or so to get added to the list. If there is something you would like to see added, let me know.
So I am still on the subject of versatility. The card above, was made with designer paper from the HAIKU series (page 168) no Christmas paper used here. I like the little diamond shapes, so, I took a 2.50 inch Very Vanilla square, turned it on end and stamped the Wise Men from HOLY TRIPTYCH (pg 43) and gold embossed them. Then I matted them with a 2.75 piece of Eggplant. For the sentiment, I used Eggplant, and gold embossed "PEACE LOVE JOY" from that ALL HOLIDAY set on pg 142 (have I persuaded you into buying this set yet?) This one is matted with a little scrap of Brushed Gold. The card itself is a 5.25 square and before I added the DSP, I put a little scrap of the eggplant under it, just to add some interest, and frame the center portion of the card.
That's it for today folks, Jack (the dog) and I are off to Sequim this morning to delivery Stampin Up orders then back home to finish designing a little note pad holder I am working on.
Introducing JACK - aka "WILD THING". As you can tell, full of energy, keeps us hopping and goes absolutely everywhere with me. Sure wish he could stamp, I could use 4 extra paws this week.
